Post 17: A New Job

I am delighted to share an important chapter that has recently opened in my journey towards a career in the medical field. I am extremely pleased to announce that I have been offered and accepted the position of Patient Care Technician at the renowned University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) in the Departments of Plastics, Otolaryngology, and Urology.

 This incredible opportunity marks a remarkable turning point, combining my rich experience as an EMT with new patient care responsibilities. In taking on this role, I will harness the invaluable skills and knowledge I’ve acquired as an EMT, applying it to a whole new area of ​​healthcare. The UTSW position includes a variety of patient care roles, each serving as a stepping stone to my ultimate goal of entering medical school. I will collaborate with a dynamic team and engage in assignments that reflect the essence of patient-centered care – a principle that has been central to my journey thus far.

 Every interaction, every moment, and every patient I meet will certainly contribute to my maturity, understanding, and compassion as a future healthcare professional. This role not only promises to enrich my resume but also allows me to bring together my various strands of medical experience, creating a tapestry of knowledge and expertise. subject will serve me well on the road ahead.
